Gleam Media to produce CIS Championship weekend for the second year in a row!

Gleam Media will be producing the features and the broadcast for the 2016 CIS Championship weekend.  This is the second year in a row Gleam has been contracted to work on this amazing event.  CIS championship weekend brings together the top University teams in Canada to compete for top spot for Men’s and Women’s Hockey and Basketball.  An exciting and event filled weekend airing March 17-20 2016 on Sportsnet.

Gleam Media to work on 3rd series for Sportsnet

Gleam Media will once again be producing another countdown show for Sportsnet.  The focus of this 10 part series is everything Hockey!  “Hockey Countdown” will profile some of the best games of the 80/ 90’s and beyond and feature some of the greatest players that ever played, from Gretzky to Lemieux, Bobby Orr to Gordie Howe.    A high action, fun series that will be seen across Canada on all Sportsnet channels!

Gleam Media to work on the Hall of Fame inductee videos for the Canadian Paralympic Committee

Gleam Media is so honored to once again work with the Canadian Paralympic Committee to produce videos for the class of 2015.   Congratulations to the inductees: Chantal Petitclerc, Lauren Woolstencroft, Marni Abbott-Peter, Wilf and Audrey Strom, Donald Royer and Gary McPherson.
As always, we love working with the folks at the Paralympic Committee and feel honored that they trust us to tell these amazing stories.

Helen Stoumbos to reunite with first Canadian World Cup Team in Vancouver

Helen Stoumbos organized a reunion with her former teammates from the first Canadian World Cup Team.  In honor of the 2015 Women’s World Cup hosted here in Canada, former teammates from across North America traveled to Vancouver to take in the sights and sounds of the World Cup.  “It was so great to recconnect with former teammates, some that I hadn’t seen for 15 years.”  Helen Stoumbos.
The girls are planning another reunion in 2016 and are registering a team into the 2016 masters games in Vancouver!!

Gleam Media to work with the Aboriginal Sport and Wellness Council of Ontario

Gleam Media is super excited to announce a project with the Aboriginal Sport and Wellness Council of Ontario (ASWCO).  Gleam Media has been contracted to work on a documentary with the ASWCO.   “We are super excited to be able to work with such a great organization on such an amazing project, and we can’t wait to share more news and information on this project as we move forward.”  Michael Brannagan.

Dive Canada to work with Gleam Media for 3rd year in a row!

Dive Canada will once again be working with Gleam Media to produce the Canada Cup of Diving in Gatineau, Quebec and the FINA Diving World Series in Windsor, Ontario.   Gleam Media will act as the host broadcaster for these events which will reach over 15 countries around the world!

Helen Stoumbos to participate in a Soccer Envoy during Women’s World Cup

Helen Stoumbos will be working with Mary Harvey ‘9former US Women’s Soccer player, Olympic and World Cup Gold Medalist) on a Soccer Envoy in Northern Ontario. The purpose of the Envoy is to inspire youth, in particular Aboriginal Youth, through soccer.
“This is something I feel very passionately about, soccer is such a great sport for youth.  It increases confidence, health and wellness.  I’m so honored to be working with Mary and reaching and connecting with these incredible kids and hopefully inspiring them not just to play sport, but to increase their mental and physical health.” Helen Stoumbos.
